Ezen igények kielégítése csak a frekvencia és sávszélesség növelésével lehetséges. Azonban a rádiófrekvenciás és mikrohullámú áramkörök és rendszerek működésének leírása, és így tervezése a hagyományos elektronikai szemlélettel (módszerekkel) nem lehetséges. Éppen ezért a tantárgy célja a mikrohullámú áramkörök és rendszerszemlélet megismertetése a hallgatósággal. A félév során bemutatásra kerülnek a mikrohullámú távközlési rendszerekben használt legfontosabb aktív és passzív áramköri elemek, azok működésének elmélete és a tervezésükhöz szükséges alapvető módszerek. Ezen igények kielégítése csak a frekvencia és sávszélesség növelésével lehetséges. Azonban a rádiófrekvenciás és mikrohullámú áramkörök és rendszerek működésének leírása, és így tervezése a hagyományos elektronikai szemlélettel (módszerekkel) nem lehetséges. Éppen ezért a tantárgy célja a mikrohullámú áramkörök és rendszerszemlélet megismertetése a hallgatósággal. A félév során bemutatásra kerülnek a mikrohullámú távközlési rendszerekben használt legfontosabb aktív és passzív áramköri elemek, azok működésének elmélete és a tervezésükhöz szükséges alapvető módszerek.
